In partnership with Central Middle School, DEMCO began after-school programs as part of the 21st Century Program on September 26, 2017. We are excited this school year to bring textile design, financial literacy and entrepreneurship, and prevention programming including substance abuse, bullying, suicide and violence prevention. The students are enthusiastic about creating their own products for their businesses and learning new techniques in design. Also, student projects will be donated to Puerto Rico and a local homeless shelter. It has been wonderful designing with giving in mind. DEMCO meets with students twice a week for the duration of the 21st Century program this year. We are looking forward to more programs as the year progresses.
